Some more finals action....still in awe of the athletes performance during finals. These problems were crazy hard and an amazing show to watch in person. Huge SHOUTOUT to @climbwhetstone for the amazing comp they put together, the route setters putting in long days getting the climbs ready for us all, and thanks to all the athletes for showing up, climbing hard and having a good time!

This is one of my favorite photos I took during finals so far. Climber @paloma.slowik rounding the corner on women's final 3. The back lighting illuminating her as she climbs was magical. The crowd in awe in the background is a nice finishing touch.

Battleship Bounty 2026 Finals @climbwhetstone knows how to throw a party and an amazing climbing competition. This comp brings out the pro's in the industry and throw down on some of the coolest boulders you have seen. An all time favorite of mine.... Horsetooth will always be home. I have climbed this boulder many times over 20+ years. I can't remember the first time I climbed it, but still enjoy it so many years later. @visitftcollins #fortcollins #Colorado #bouldering #horsetooth #adventure

The Inkwell is a delicate, slow moving, micro crimping beta nightmare or dream depending on your strengths and likes. This climb for me will always be known as the ninja slab or ninja project to me. During my teen years, two decades ago, Ian Dory and myself first started trying this off and on. It wasn't until @alex_manikowski came around and snagged the first ascent and dubbed it the Inkwell V11. At the time there was a lot of graffiti on the boulder hence the name. @nococlimber organizes many cleanup missions through the years all over Northern Colorado climbing destinations. This is why you don't see graffiti on this boulder. This is still a climb yet to be completed for myself so as of now, it stays on the list. The fall season was amazing. Lots of boulders, trying hard, fails but most importantly hanging out with good people. Looking forward to spring and summer in the alpine.
